Continuing my CVS shopping, I took the $10 from the Tide/Febreeze purchase along with a couple of CVS emailed coupons and went to work.  I had manufacturer coupons for Olay face wipes & Body wash, Garnier Olia Hair dye and Garnier Nutrisse hair dye. I also had CVS coupons for $6 off of $35, $2 off of shampoo/conditioner, $5 off of $18 of hair dye.

The Olia is a new product and new products often have high value coupons. Regular price $9.99, sale price $8.99, manufacturers coupon for $3,  plus $5 off of $18 hair dye CVS-coupon. I also had a Nutrisse mfg coupon for $1.

Original price: $28.47

My price: $ $14.47 

Savings: 49.2%

I love the Olay face wipes. Regular price is around $6, but I stock up whenever they are below $3! Mfg coupon for $3 off of 2.

Original price: $11.98

My price: $5

Savings: 58%

I like the Olay moisturizing body wash for the dry winter weather (yes, even here in FL!) $1 mfg coupon.

Original price: $7.79

My price: $4.50

Savings: 42%

I use the Chi Infra Shampoo (which never goes on sale) However, CVS gave a coupon for $2 off of any shampoo. This is 14% savings, not factoring in the Extra bucks.

I also snagged some Covergirl tinted lip balms on half price sale, plus $1 off mfc coupons.

In the end, my savings was 65%

Proctor & Gamble Rebate!

Proctor and Gamble has a rebate offer. Spend $50 and get a $15 visa gift card as a rebate. From a previous post, we know that I got some crest white strips, retail price $31.49. Now when I bought that I had a 30% off coupon from cvs, but that doesn't concern P&G :) I also recently purchased some Olay face wipes and Olay body wash. 

Crest white strips $31.49 -30%

1st body wash $7.79 -30% - $1 coupon 

Face wipes sale price 2/$8 -2x - $3 off 2 facial cleanser coupon 

2nd body wash sale price $5.50 -$1 coupon

Original retail price: $59.05

My out of pocket cost: $36

 (This is ignoring the CVS extra bucks that I used to pay for some of these items--in reality, I used )

Now factor in the rebate of $15. This makes my final cost $21--this is a savings of 64.4%! (and again, that ignores the cvs extra bucks ) 

No wonder Proctor and Gamble is one of my favorite companies!

CVS Proctor & Gamble Stock Up sale 68% savings

This week Proctor & Gamble put on an awesome promotion at CVS. Their monthly coupons came out in the Sunday paper and CVS had complimentary sales. 

$5 Extra bucks when you spend $20 on certain P&G products. Like Tide! Tide was on sale for $5.94 (regular price $8.79-$8.99. Coupons in the paper were for $2 off of one and $3 off of 2. I get two Sunday papers because the best deals almost always come in sets of two. 

I bought 4 bottles of Tide: 4 x $5.94

I used two $2 coupons and one $3 off of 2. 

Original price $35.56, my price $16.76

Febreeze had a deal for $5 extra bucks back when you buy $15 of febreeze.  I also had a manufacturers BOGO coupon (from the same P&G Sunday coupon book)

Febreeze 4 x $4.49. 

Unfortunately this coupon maxed out at $3.99, still, not bad.

Original price $17.96, my price $9.98. 

Total original cost for tide and febreeze $53.52. My cost $26.94 with $10 extra bucks in the receipt which makes the effective price $16.96. This is a 68.3% savings. 

But wait! There's more. I had $17 in extra bucks in my coupon folder.

And 2 x $2 extra bucks I had from last weeks purchases. 

So my out of pocket cost was $11.61. ( I still had to pay tax on the pre-coupon prices.) and $10 printed on the receipt. Not bad!

Effective cost: $1.61 on regularly priced items totally $53.52. This is a 97% savings. 

Half Price at CVS on Black Friday

CVS had a 30% off coupon in the pre thanksgiving newspaper. Either this type of coupon, it's an opportunity to reduce the price of those items that seemingly never go on sale. The important thing to know about this coupon is that the 30% is only applicable to items that are at regular price. 

I decided to get some crest white strips regular price $31.49, my cost $22.04 (30%off)

I also stocked up on probiotics for my son. I also had a cvs coupon for $5 off of $35 on probiotics. So while the initial cost is $22.45 each, I was able to get 2 for around 13.23. That's a 41% discount. 

For my FSA I called cvs to get a copy of all my FSA eligible items for the year and to show their appreciation CVS sent a free package of toilet paper to my cvs card. That ended up being a money maker because the cost is $3.79, the 30% coupon takes off $1.14 then the freebie coupon took off an additional $3.79.

They had m&ms BOGO, plus I had two coupons for $1 off. Original price $4.29 each, my price 1.15 each. (74% off)

I like Atkins shakes for breakfast in a pinch. I had a cvs coupon for $2 off of an $8 purchase on shakes. Original price $8.29, my cost $3.80 (55% savings). 

They also had Cheerios on an amazing deal. Regular price $4.49, my price $0.37! That's a 92% savings!

I used various other cvs coupons (see photos), extra bucks from previous sales and manufacturers coupons. The 30% coupon saved $39.89 by itself. 

My total savings was $82.36 which is a net 49% savings. 

Name change!
